How I got my start

In 2011, I started my blog, The Fearless Fashionista®, as a vehicle for self-expression and to document my style and outfits. I’ve always been drawn to fashion. As young girl, I’d create “dresses” using belted towels and blankets, and wear my mother’s high heels to create “high fashion” looks.

The fashion bug bit me early, and my love for style has continued to grow over the years. Today, I help women over 40 like you, learn to dress in an authentic way that honors your preferences and lifestyle. Oh, and I work in the financial services industry also. And I’m the mother of two.

I started my journey as a style expert when a human resources professional at a previous employer approached me with an opportunity. She asked me to lead a workshop for the summer intern cohort focused on professional style. She liked the way I showed up and presented me with an opportunity.

I’ll be honest—I was terrified because I had no previous public speaking experience, and I wasn’t sure I could pull it off, but fortunately, it wound up being a huge success. Since then, I've served women’s groups, non-profit organizations, and major corporations, to raise their collective style consciousness.

That’s how I got my start. My HR leader liked the way I showed up and presented me with an opportunity, which has now evolved into my role as a style strategist and personal stylist. I have the pleasure of helping women elevate their style and improve the quality of their lives.

My Style Philosophy

I believe in making a statement through clothing. In many cases, I let my outfits do the talking for me— and I encourage my clients to do the same.

People are paying attention, taking notes, and forming opinions about you based on what they see. Why not take control of the narrative? Great personal style can improve your leadership abilities, lead to increased pay, promotions, and most importantly, make you feel amazing!

Once you learn a few solid style strategies that are tailored to your needs and lifestyle, getting dressed will get easier. A few small shifts in your style behavior can help you avoid those moments when you’re standing in your closet in tears, because you don’t know what to wear.

Cultivating a signature style that embodies who you are and sends the message you want to send is easier than you think.
