Fashion Forum - Episode 10: Meet Stylist Chi Ilochi
Hello my fashionable friends,
On Tuesday, September 22nd, stylist and image consultant Chi Ilochi joined us for Episode 10 of Fashion Forum. If you missed the segment, you can check out the replay here.
Chi is an introvert with a passion for fashion, and one of her early fashion influences came from her father’s Nigerian roots. Chi’s aunts would send beautiful and colorful Nigerian fabrics to her family, and Chi’s mom would wear traditional garments to various events. Although she wasn’t able to fully appreciate it at the time, Chi’s heritage and ancestry played a significant role in helping her to develop her bold and eclectic style.
Chi loves working with models and bringing their visions to life, and has experience working with people from all walks of life— including those with anxiety, depression, body issues, and autism. Chi takes an almost therapeutic approach when working with clients and she ensures the colors, textures, and structure of the garments are a good fit. Chi recently wrote a guest post that is being featured on my blog, titled, Style Tips for Parents of Children With Autism. Check it out when you have a moment.
Chi describes her personal style as bold, unique, and vibrant. Color is an essential part of Chi’s aesthetic and she is very methodical in her approach to pulling outfits together, using building architecture, textures, and color to set the mood and create the perfect ensemble.
