The gift of style inspiration

2023 is here and you know what that means…

Recalibrating, redesigning, resolving, etc.

Then reality sets in… :-)

I believe in creating a life where you’re constantly improving. Checkpoints, like the start of a new year, can be helpful, but the process should be ongoing.

Release the pressure

If you’re overwhelmed by New Year’s resolutions and all the associated pressure, I encourage you to release that right now.

Most change does not take place within the strict confines of a calendar year and shouldn’t be approached from that perspective.

So ease up on yourself a little and accept the gift of style inspiration that I’m about to share with you.

A special gift for you!

If you’ve ever wondered how you can create a multitude of looks using one key piece, I recently posted a video on Instagram to demonstrate how I styled a hoodie in 10 different ways.

My outfits were built around my “Boss Mode” hoodie, and my goal was to flex my “stylist muscles.”

Start changing how you think about style

So how does one go about styling 10 looks using one piece?

By removing the limits on how you think about style.

If you’ve been led to believe that you’re too young, too old, too short, too fat, too light, too dark, too clumsy, insert any number of adjectives… then you need to reprogram your thoughts so they reflect the reality of who you are today.

And disregard all the social conditioning that suggests you can’t wear white after Labor Day, sequins is not for daytime, etc.

It’s all rubbish!

Identify your style value system, couple that with how you live your life, and create a sense of style that amplifies who you are or one that embodies how you see yourself in the future.

Quit breakin’ my heart

It breaks my heart when people discount the power of style. When you start looking at style as a strategic tool to help you succeed in life, it will take on an entirely new meaning. (It’s an investment in YOU!)

Your wardrobe has tremendous power. So stop playin’ games and start making the small changes, when consistent and coupled with the proper mindset, will help you organically improve your style over time.

Let me know…

  • Which look resonated with you the most?

  • Do you have questions about my styling choices or where I purchased any of the items? If yes, send me a note.

I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for reading.
