Worth the Wait
So here we are in 2020…
I’ve been neglecting my blogging responsibilities, but for good reason. The last four months of 2019 were very busy for me. I published my first book, I was taking a class, I started a new job, and I’m a full time mom…you get the idea…
I decided to slow down a bit to recharge my batteries. I’m still in the process of crafting my 2020 goals and planning my next moves. Stay tuned for my 2020 activities.
On a fashion note, those people who are closest to me know that I’m a pretty impatient person, but when it comes to fashion, I have the amazing ability to wait. In fact, I can wait years if need be.
Almost six years ago, I saw a gorgeous Badgley Mischka gown at Neiman Marcus, and I decided to purchase it. It was on sale—and although I had absolutely nowhere to wear it, I thought a gown might come in handy one day.
Apparently my life is not terribly exciting, because it took me all this time to wear it. Last month, I attended a black tie gala, and as soon as I received the invitation, I automatically knew that THIS was the dress I was going to wear. Check out the back. I love the train. It adds a little drama, but it’s not too much.
When I first purchased the dress, I thought it looked nice, but I’ve gotten a little “fluffier” over the years and I’m not mad at how it helped me fill out the dress. :-)
Faux fur cropped jacket, velvet clutch and patent mules completed the look.
When it comes to fashion, I try to stay ready so I don’t have to get ready.
Thank you for reading.
