Make a Statement!
Hello my fashionable friends,
Clothing is not just a utility, but it’s often used to make a statement—whether subtle or overt. Anything from cut, color, fabric, texture to level of dressiness—can help style become a powerful tool.
I generally think very carefully about what I’m wearing and what I’m trying to say, because I think about style as a medium to tell a story.
This COVID pandemic has introduced another opportunity for people to show their creativity by donning stylish masks and masks with a message—and although I haven’t jumped on that bandwagon, this t-shirt is making its own statement.
Washing your hands is not a novel concept, but it seems like a reminder is warranted, and I figured I might as well send the message in style!
Outfit Details
Shades: “Maddy” Frames by WeR1 Exclusives
T-shirt: I AM Everythin
Skirts: I’m actually wearing two skirts. The shorter pleated skirt is made from scuba material. It’s several years old, and I now use it as a layering piece to add an interesting element to an ensemble. I’ll wear it over a skirt, leggings, a pair of jeans, etc. Here’s how I styled it over jeans.
The tulle petticoat is from Amazon. They have a large selection of tutus and tulle skirts of all sizes, shapes, and colors, and they’re generally pretty affordable.
Shoes: These booties are a couple of years old, and they’re one of my favorites. Although they have a skinny high heel, they’re not difficult to walk in. They’re by Christian Louboutin and are no longer available, but here’s a similar and more affordable option.
