Nine Style Tips to Help You Dress Confidently This Summer
Happy Thursday everyone!
Last month I had the pleasure of hosting a Spring/Summer Sip and Shop at Sybaritic Bags & Clothing in Bear, DE. The topics I covered included dressing for your body type and lifestyle using the D.I.V.A. Essentials™, my favorite fashion trends, and I shared nine style tips to help you look your best this summer.
Here’s a recap of what I discussed.
The D.I.V.A. Essentials™
When getting dressed, use the D.I.V.A. Essentials™ as your guide.
D = Determine what looks good on you
I = Invest in yourself
V = View your wardrobe as an extension of your brand
A = Add a dose of your personality

Trends
Trends are great because they allow you to freshen up your wardrobe and breathe new life into your outfits. Some of my favorite trends include:
And although trends serve their purpose in fashion, use them sparingly and spend your time developing an authentic signature style that works for your life. Build a flexible and functional wardrobe that makes you feel good about yourself, and only wear the trends that make sense for you. Trends may come and go, but a great sense of style lasts forever.
Style Tips
You can be stylish at any age, size, or price point. Don’t allow numbers to stifle your personal style and creativity.
Don’t focus on the size of your garments, focus on how they fit. Clothing varies by designer, style, and type, so wear what fits and looks good.
Shop your closet and get creative mixing and matching your existing pieces. You don’t have to buy something new for every occasion.
When purchasing new items, always think about how they can work with what you already own. You want to ensure you can get maximum mileage out of your clothing.
Don't wait for a "special occasion" to wear your nicer clothes, shoes, and accessories...that occasion may never come.
Wearing white makes a powerful statement. Try all white, a white blazer or denim jacket, or white jeans.
A monochromatic outfit is great for making a style statement. Check out my recent blog post for a few tips.
Try pattern-mixing. My previous blog post provides some pointers on how to effectively mix patterns.
Exude confidence and have fun!
